Flat Roof Installation Certification
(FRIC)
Single Pivot’s FRIC Certification is the required standard for anyone working on a CW‑managed site. It verifies that every certified installer has the skills, awareness, and professional mindset needed to perform high‑quality, safe roofing work.
Becoming FRIC certified means you have demonstrated:
- Technical Competency: You understand flat‑roof systems, installation steps, membrane welding, detailing, and best‑practice workmanship.
- System Awareness & Safe Practices: You know how roofs behave, how hazards develop, and how to work safely using proper PPE, access, fall restraint, and equipment operation standards.
- Professional Responsibility: You contribute to a well‑run site through communication, hazard reporting, jobsite housekeeping, teamwork, and adherence to company policies.
- Precision & Craftsmanship: You perform installation work with accuracy and care, understanding that small errors become major failures.
- Long‑Term Asset Protection: You understand how proper installation, protection, and maintenance extend roof lifespan and protect building assets.
This certification is earned, not given. FRIC proves you’re prepared, competent, and ready to perform work the right way.
Why FRIC Is Important
Improper installation remains the leading cause of roof failures, not materials or design. Single Pivot’s FRIC Certification eliminates guesswork and inconsistency by ensuring every installer is trained, tested, and equipped with the technical mastery, safety awareness, and professional responsibility required for long‑term waterproofing performance.

A Five‑Day Training Program Designed for Real‑World Competency
Single Pivot Certification follows a structured, five‑day training path that builds knowledge, skill, and responsibility in a clear, progressive way. Training is hands‑on, practical, and designed to prepare waterproofers for real conditions, not controlled environments.
Each intake includes a maximum of six participants, ensuring individualized instruction, coaching, and evaluation.
While the five-day program represents the full scope of the certification curriculum, training delivery is flexible and can be adapted to suit the specific needs, objectives, and experience levels of each group. Program duration, format, and scheduling may vary depending on the audience, project requirements, or organizational goals, while maintaining the same high standards for competency and certification outcomes.
